Who's behind it

Hudhud House is run by Mohanad, a native Arabic speaker based in Saudi Arabia. I make the resources I wished existed for my own family — Arabic done properly, the deen taught gently, and simple enough to actually use on a busy weeknight.

I keep a personal photo off the site for privacy, but I'm a real person — not a faceless brand — and I read and reply to every message myself at [email protected].

Most Arabic and Islamic printables sold to diaspora families are built overseas from English-only templates, and the Arabic is an afterthought: wrong letter forms, awkward phrasing, or words no one really uses. Because I read and write Arabic as a first language, every letter shape, word and vowel mark (harakah) is checked by someone who actually speaks it.

The name

“Hudhud” (هُدْهُد) is the hoopoe bird of Surah An-Naml — the little messenger of Prophet Sulaiman (peace be upon him), and a gentle symbol of carrying knowledge and good news. It felt right for a small house of learning materials.

How I handle the Islamic content

This matters, so I'm specific about it. Reflections are in my own words; surahs are referred to by name and number; and where we include du'as, we cite them to well-known collections such as Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim and Jami' at-Tirmidhi. Ramadan and Hijri dates are given as guidance and are subject to local moon sighting. Everything is written to be gentle, family-friendly and respectful of the deen it teaches.
